Paola Volpe

Paola Volpe after having made her debut with the orchestra at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice at the age of twelve under the direction of Piero Bellugi, continued her studies in Naples at the Conservatory of San Pietro a Maiella where she graduated with the honorable mention under the guide of the Maestro Sergio Fiorentino.

Winner of various competitions including the “RAI Italian Radio Television”, She has obtained many success in the main theaters: La Fenice di Venezia, Teatro Giordano, (Foggia) Teatro Verdi (Trieste and Salerno) Teatro Petruzzelli and Piccinni (Bari) Teatro San Carlo, (Naples) Teatro Alfieri (Turin) Politeama Greco (Lecce) RAI Auditorium of Naples and Turin and abroad: France, Belgium, Hungary, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, Czech Republic and Rep. Slovakia, Greece, Serbia, Macedonia, Austria , Germany, Holland, South America, Korea, Japan. As a soloist she has played with numerous orchestras including: Tokio Filarmonica Orchestra at Bunka Kaikan, Sinfonica Municipal of Caracas, Orchestra A. Scarlatti, Orchestra de la Wallonie, Queensalnd Orchestra, Orchestra of Teatro Taejon, (Korea), Philharmonic George Enescu, Philharmonic of Ploiesti, Bacau, Sibiu, Brasov (Romania) orchestra of the Moldovan Radio Television, Razgrad orchestra and Russe orchestra (Bulgaria), Kameralna orchestra of Uppsala (Sweden), Szombathely Philharmonic (Hungary). For the Teatro alla Scala in Milan he has worked as a pianist for 45 performances of Schumann's childhood scenes in the 'La Scala for Children' program. She parteciped in International Festivals: March Music Days (Russia) and Nenov Festival (Bulgaria) Festival of Amalfi, Festival of Ravello, Bain de musique at Flaine and Musiques au soleil at Porte Camargue (France) Montalto Ligure Festival of Exilles (Italy) and has recorded for various foreign broadcasters. He has collaborated with various conductors including: C. Zecchi. F. Caracciolo. O. Ziino, F. Zigante, M. Rota, S. Vacev. H. Andreescu, P. Sbarcea. K. Kaufmann, G. Vintila, G. Mustea, Kim Hun Je, R. Chamberlain, K. Balazs, Lim Dong-Soo and others.


She has held master classes in Italy and abroad: Bain de musique (Flaine) Opus Artis (Brussels) Hellenic Conservatory (Athens), Barcelona Municipal Conservatory, Breda Musical Stage (Spain), Korea Baptist University, Tilburg Conservatory (Holland) Waldkraiburg Musikschule (Bavaria) Kaupfenburg Musikschulakademie, Mannheim, (Germany), Montalto Musica (Italy). Member of Juries of National and International Piano Competitions including Rameau, Chateau de Courcillon (France) Konzerteum (Greece) City of Porto (Portugal), Competition Ferrol (Spain), Krainev International Competition (Karkov) International Competition W. Horowitz (Kiev) , Rospigliosi Competition, (Italy), Concours de Valence (France). She is often invited to take part in the jury for final exams at the Pierre Barbizet Conservatory in Marseille. In 2007 she was awarded the Sebetia Ter Music Prize, silver plaque of the President of the Italian Republic. Paola is artistic director and president of the jury of the International Piano Execution Competition organized by the 'Le Muse' Music Association.  

Actually Paola Volpe is Professor of Main Piano at the San Pietro a Majella Music Conservatory in Naples, Italy.

She is a member of the Trio Nicola Sala with the violinist Giulio Rovighi and the cellist Gianluca Giganti, and in the formation of a duo with the violinist Liliana Bernardi.

She has recorded for Edi Pan, Discover International, Assa Kantor and Sannio Neumi.
