19.45 H.: Rodrigo Rodriguez (Spain) Meditation Music for Japan flute ShakuhachiRodrigo Rodriguez plays the Shakuhachi, a Japanese instrument who has about 800 years of history, which in its origins was used as a meditative instrument by various branches of Buddhism. During the Nara period (S. VIII) was introduced as an instrument from China to Japan. At the beginning of Edo Perios, during the sixteenth century, only the "Komuso", a gruop of itinerant Buddhist monks, had the exclusivity to play this flute until losing this permission years later and nowadays it is treated as an other instrument to incorporate in chamber music and intimate environments.

Ewa Uryga, Polish singer, she is an excellent and respected vocalist, she has a highly successful track record with a large number music awards. Her artistic activity involves different music styles and genres. She graduated from the Faculty of Jazz and Popular Music at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. Nonetheless, she began to sing much earlier. She has participated in numerous projects along with the following artists: Anna Maria Jopek, Zbigniew Wodecki, Mieczysław Szcześniak, Dorota Miśkiewicz, Ewa Bem, Janusz Szrom, Hanna Banaszak. Ewa Uryga also participated in such workshops as oratorios: ‘Droga Nadziei’ by Janusz Kohuta, ‘Woła nas Pan’ by Włodzimierz Korcz according to Ernest Bryll’s writing and ‘Niepołomice’ by Zbigniew Wodecki. She was the main singer in the following musicals: ‘Zorba’ directed by Jan Szurmiej, ‘Chicago’ directed by Katarzyna Deszcz in collaboration with the Musical Theatre in Gliwice. Currently, she is in the process of preparing material for her next album involving American musicians – the members of ‘New York Jazz Collective’: Mark Soskin, Luques Curtis and Dorota Piotrwoska, with whom she has recently cooperated during her in-house as well as abroad tours. She initiated the cycle of concerts under the name ‘The Meeting Classic and Jazz’ at the Silesian Philharmonic in Katowice and became its music director. Grzegorz Dowgiallo is one of the most charismatic and beautiful voices on the Polish music scene. His vocal qualities and his ability as a pianist allow him to space between several musical genres such as blues, jazz and classical music. These two young stars of Polish music are going to prepare a special repertoire on the occasion of the Festival.

19.30 H.: DOMINA DONNA (Italy) Music and Marian Spirituality in the Italian Baroque DUO CLAVIERE Elena Modena voice and Ilario Gregoletto Harpsicord. Ensamble born on 2003 at Centro de Estudios Claviere di Vittorio Veneto (TV) in Italy in order to investigate and spread the medievale music repertoire, in particular the sacred polyphonic production of the XII-XV. Its members have extensive academic training dedicate to vocal and ancient instrumental techniques and musicological reserach.
